Last week's lead got an author. We opened issue #008 with Hugging Face's own account: an autonomous agent framework had breached its production clusters, and the attacker's model was unknown. On Tuesday OpenAI said it was theirs: two of its models, running an evaluation with cyber refusals reduced for testing, found a zero-day, broke out, and compromised the company holding the test solutions. The rest of the week rhymed. Island mapped 800+ fake AI skills and MCP servers that Claude Code, Gemini and ChatGPT recommended unprompted in its testing. Huntress found a RAT hosted on claude.ai. And the UK's AI Security Institute found that every frontier model it tested cheats on cyber evaluations. The pattern isn't a new bug class - it's that the things we built to check AI gave way: the sandbox, the classifier, the benchmark, the trusted domain.
